What is PoundPot?
---------------------------
PoundPot is a collection of links to sites which offer competitions, surveys, cashback, rewards and free gifts. After trying many money earning schemes and failing with most of them, I decided to collate the best of these and put them on a site. Poundpot is therefore a personal site and not a company. <Back To Top>
Can I earn cash even if I don't spend anything?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Yes! There are many ways to earn cash without even spending a penny. Many shops offer cashback as an incentive for simply signing up to their weekly newsletter, requesting a brochure, or for entering a competition. You can even earn cashback by simply searching for products with various shopping directories. Plus you can earn by recommending friends and family to do the same. Sit back and let them make money for you!

Where does the money come from?
-----------------------------------------------
With the reward sites, they are paid a commission on online sales through them, which they pass a percentage on to you. It's extra sales for the retailers and you're being paid for things you might already buy anyway, so everyone's happy. Survey sites are research based and commissioned by companies, with a small amount being returned to the person answering the questions. Paid email and competitions are companies spending a small amount in the hope of 'capturing' future customers for their products and services. <Back To Top>
Why bother just to earn a few pence?
--------------------------------------------------
The amounts you can earn are enormous. For example when I started with the reward sites, I received £50 cashback for my car insurance, £11 when I switched my utilities, £30 when I changed to broadband, plus over £30 for using daily searches (over a 2 month period). So in effect I'm not spending anything, I'm just gratefully receiving over £120 pounds for things I have to pay for in life anyway. Plus if you do shop online frequently for products you will earn even more, up to 60% in some cases. <Back To Top>
You mention a lot of "cashback" sites which one shall I use?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Use them all! Say you are shopping for car insurance, two sites may offer cashback from the same insurer, but one may offer £10 and the other £30. Different cashback sites all pay different rates back to their members so it really is worth shopping around and having a "pool" to compare from. <Back To Top>
What are " recurrers" and " signups"
------------------------------------------------
Recurrers are where you can earn money by simply clicking on an ad or searching for an item, usually allowed once per day. With signups you receive money for signing up to say, a newsletter or agree to receive a regular email. This way you're being paid for being a " potential customer". <Back To Top>
